Length is the second filter. Two hours covers the coast and a swim stop. Around three and a half hours leaves real time on deck (half-day cruise from €57), and the six-hour full-day cruise from €90 is for anyone who would rather spend the whole day out. The luxury sail-yacht cruise also comes as a sunrise and a sunset departure, handy for photographers.
Couples have their own options: a private sail from Ferragudo with drinks and snacks from €120 per person, or a private sunset sail from €130 per person. Families and groups should divide a private boat's group price by the number of heads before dismissing it.
If you get seasick easily, choose a morning departure: the afternoon wind is stronger, and a sailboat leans with it. Before you book, check what is included (drinks, snacks, swimming or snorkelling) and the free-cancellation window, which is 24 hours before departure on most tours.

Many listings include a swim stop, and one mentions snorkelling in blue water. It is not guaranteed on every tour, so look for swimming in the description and ask the operator whether snorkel gear is provided and whether the sea conditions on your day allow it.
